The Role
Our client’s aim is to improve the lives of service users (SUs) by providing them with bespoke practical & emotional care & support, whilst empowering them to maintain their independence, self-worth, respect & dignity. The personal needs & goals of the SUs will be at the centre of everything you do!
Along with being responsible for the daily operations of the business & the delivery of competent & high-quality care, the care manager is also required to:
- Develop & maintain a good professional relationship with the SUs, their families, staff, the local community etc., ensuring their safety & health/wellbeing
- Regularly update care plans to ensure the SUs physical, social, psychological & emotional needs are recognised, assessed & met.
- Supervise & monitor your team as an approachable team leader
- Ensure satisfactory care standards/policies/procedures are implemented & throughout the care service
- Liaise with social care regulators/local authorities/professionals
- Conduct staff interviews, inductions, probation reviews, appraisals & meetings
- Manage the staff Rota, annual leave & sick requests
- Professionally report accidents, incidents, complaints & respond to emergencies
What we require from you:

£8 – £12 dependent on your experience and supplies
We have a range of shifts to fit around your home life, studies, social life and other commitments. We are looking to recruit staff to carry out basic cleaning and maintenance duties across a range of residence, offices and communal areas. Here at Swarme, we’re all about achieving that work-life balance, so you can choose where and when you would like to work, only accepting cleaning assignments that suit you!
General Duties
The goal is to keep the area clean, safe & tidy, whilst bringing a positive energy to the place. General duties are dependent on your working environment but typically involves:
- Basic cleaning & sanitising
- Dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, glass/mirror/window cleaning
- Tidying assigned areas & toilets
- Emptying bins, replacing liners, clearing litter
- Setting up & restocking cleaning equipment & supplies e.g. soap, air fresheners, toilet rolls, surface wipes
- Notify owners/management of occurring deficiencies or areas that need repairing
All that we require from you is that you can get around easily therefore, a full UK driving license is preferred but not necessary.

Your role will involve providing tailored emotional and practical support, care ;and companionship to the selected service user, within the comfort of their own home and community. Our clients are adults with a range of complex conditions such as
- Dementia and Alzheimer’s
- Physical Disabilities
- Mental Health Conditions (Autism, Asperger’s and Personality Disorders)
- Stroke Survivors, hospital departees
- Elderly – related issues
As part of the live-in carer role, suitable accommodation will be provided by the service user and approved by us, to ensure your living arrangements are comfortable, safe and hygienic at all times. We will also match you to the service user depending on your language, location interests, skills, experience and things you may have in common.
You will be typically working on a ‘3 weeks on, 1 week off” basis, where you’ll make a huge difference in someone’s daily life by aiding them in their daily duties such as shopping, household duties, basic personal care, providing support to access the community, administering medication, preparing meals and specialist feeding through the PEG. You will also be required to carry out regular care reviews among other things.
